Frequently Asked Questions
The following are questions you may have about selecting musicians and about how musicians enhance
the beauty of your special occasion.
Q - What should I look for when choosing musicians for my wedding or other special
event? A - It is important to look for professional ensembles where customer service is
paramount. Companies need to be promptly responsive to your request for information. You need to feel comfortable and
assured that your particular interests and tastes are being addressed. Small, specialized companies, such as Flute Cocktail,
are focused on your individual needs. We even offer a FREE music selection session so wedding couples can
listen to music samples and select the melodies they would like for each part of the service. In addition, upon
request, one musician will attend the wedding rehearsal to coordinate music cues with the wedding party so all goes smoothly
on the wedding day. These are examples of superior customer service. We like to develop a personal relationship
with our clients so they are confident in our intent and ability to enhance the beauty of their occasion.
Q - How do I know which music to select? Where does music fit into my wedding ceremony? A - Many
times clients are not sure about what music to select for their special event. They may be familiar with some of the
melodies, but not know the title or composer. Or they may not know which type of ensemble to select. This is where Fute
Cocktail can help. We provide some music samples on our web site. In addition, we offer a FREE music selection
session for wedding couples to help them choose music for various parts of their wedding ceremony.
Flute Cocktail
normally performs for 1/2 hour prior to the wedding service while people are being seated, and then for the bridesmaids and
bridal processional, candle lighting, interlude, and recessional. We also perform for the cocktail hour and dinner.
Elegant music is also a nice accompaniment to the rehearsal dinner.
Q - Why should I use live musicians at my event? A - Live music lends an elegant and special ambiance to your special event. Recorded music does not have
the special sound only achieved through a live performance. In addition, recorded music can not be tailored to the special
timing needs of a wedding ceremony. Flute Cocktail musicians are sensitive to ensuring the musical phrases
are blended with the flow of the ceremony.
Q - How do I know if
I am getting a good value? A - Value is key. If you are getting exceptional quality and customer service,
the money you spend will be worth every penny. Look for those companies that have exceptional references and longevity
and which are responsive to your inquiries. Choose those companies that are frugal with their administrative fees so the cost
savings can be passed on to you. Flute Cocktail looks for economical opportunities to list our company so we can keep
our fees lower. We depend on referrals. And we hope to count on you to spread the word when you are thrilled
with our services. Q- What are your fees? 2016 FLUTE
